Will Manohar Lal and Naib Saini apologise to people of Faridabad for delaying Municipal Corporation polls.? After pulling by Punjab and Haryana High Court ultimately the Haryana government has started process for holding the election due for last two years resulting in miseries to its residents.Our enlightened reader A K Gaur has summarised the civic related problems of people of Faridabad.

PROBLEMS FACED BY CITIZENS OF FARIDABAD DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF LOCAL ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES (COUNSELORS)
Faridabad is a big city in the NCR region with a population of more than 25 lakhs. For one reason or another, we don’t have local body elections. Some are real, and some are imaginary, created by ruling party leaders.
City can be divided into three parts ie NIT, HUDA Sectors and Greater Faridabad. Problems faced by these areas are unique like in NIT illegal encroachments is the biggest problem followed by drainage system.
Problems of HUDA Sectors are roads, old sewage systems and parking.
Problems of Greater Faridabad is no sewage disposal system, sewage water logging In various areas, greenbelts encroachments by the Liquor mafia and stray animals which has caused serious accidents including deaths. Without elected representatives of 45 wards, these issues do not reach the policy makers and citizens suffer. All decisions are taken in a centralised way which fails to address of various areas
Also, it is observed that MCF manpower is irrationally distributed in the city. Areas where ministers and other public figures live have much more,” SAFAI KARAMCHARIES” than other areas which results in heaps of garbage in some neglected area .
