Comedian Kunal Kamra under fire for his comedy on Maharashtra DCM,Shinde -Politicians should appreciate political humour-Justice P.B.Sawant Ex Press Council of India Chief.Politicians of India don’t appreciate humour and gone are the days of Nehru and Vajpayee who enjoyed cartoons on them.Eminent journalist and author Neerja Choudhary has observed that instead of FIR ,Eknath Shinde could have got another creative comedian to counter the song of Kamra adding that in a democracy as raucous as India’s -and confident ,one hopes- there must be space for humour,satire and parody.

While reviewing my book on culture,Politics and governance of Haryana “Haryana Ke Lalon ke Sabrange Kisse “ Justice Sawant Ha’s commented “the antics ,idiosyncrasies and foibles referred to therein are typical of all politicians who use their power to serve themselves and their near and dear ones.By bringing out the book ,you have served a public cause besides adding to the literature on political satire .I hope all concerned take the contents of the book in the same harmless spirit in which it is published and harbour no rancour although we in this country are not known much for appreciating innocent humour at our cost.
