Today is Food Corporation of India’s establishment day.It reminds me twenty six years back incident when Haryana branch of FCI was involved in multi crore wheat scam.

At that time it was decided to release wheat to small flour millers for subsidising the price of wheat.But it was given in bulk to big flour millers in Haryana.This scribe who was Jansatta staffer at Rohtak at that time had carried investigative report as how wheat meant for poor was given to big flour millers.

The lead story was converted into FIR at Rohtak and then Haryana region manager of FCI ,RK Ranga was arrested.Taking suo motto cognisance Of the story Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered CBI probe into the scam .Haryana govt headed by Bansi Lal has also recommended for CBI probe.
