Delay in Appointment of Chairman and Members of Haryana Human Rights Commission Affects Senior Citizen’s Complaint Filed Against Builder BPTP Faridabad
Avtar Krishan Gaur, a senior citizen from Faridabad, filed a complaint with the Haryana Human Rights Commission in March 2023, alleging that the builder BPTP had failed to provide basic facilities such as water, roads, and other amenities as required under the terms of the license. Gaur claimed that despite his complaint, both the builder and local authorities had not taken any action to address the issue.
Action Taken After Delay in Appointment
Due to delays in the appointment of a Chairman and members of the Haryana Human Rights Commission, there was a setback in addressing the complaint. However, on February 17, Deep Bhatia, a member of the Commission, issued an order to gather reports from the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCG) and the Faridabad Metro Development Authorities. The case has now been scheduled for hearing on May 13.
