No Crisis, Just Adaptation: Congress Continues to Thrive Through Strategic Networking and Legacy

Contrary to popular belief, Congress has not lost its zeal or political relevance in Haryana, nor is it facing an existential crisis. On the contrary, the party remains a vibrant political force, with 37 MLAs managing their financial interests and social networks with sharp shrewdness. Despite external and internal pressures, Hooda has not buckled under the weight of any faction, be it from state or central Congress leadership.

Congress, much like the resilient grass (Parthenium hysterophorus), continues to survive and thrive regardless of the political climate. The party is buoyed by its strong legacy, the brand it has built, and its longstanding association with the Nehru-Gandhi family—Nehru, Indira, Rajiv, Sonia, Rahul, and Priyanka. The family has flourished irrespective of whether they are in power or not.

What keeps Congress afloat is its ability to maintain support from marginalized groups, often voiceless, and thus the party persists. The analogy of “Andhon mein kana Raja” aptly sums up Congress’s survival—it remains resilient, even if not always shining in leadership, yet it continues to wield influence.
