While Shyam Khosla of The Tribune was kept in jail in Haryana during the emergency,MLKak posted at Hisar was released from Jail on the intervention of Sheikh Abdullah,then CM Jammu & Kashmir.Even The Tribune trust had ditched Khosla in his hour of crisis.Later Devi lal who became CM after the emergency had provided govt accomodation to Shyam Khosla in officers colony Rtk ( near SP office) where Mrs Saroj ,Bansi lal’s daughter was his neighbour..One version is that Shyam Khosla was arrested for his close connection with the RSS.However it goes to credit of Khosla that forgetting all bitterness due to arrest he had covered public meeting of Bansi Lal in Jind thirty six years back which was largely attended.Khosla,s story was carried in The Tribune with heading “Bansi Lal steals the show”.
