After dividing people on caste basis for attaining power, Haryana BJP is now categorising its employees on caste basis. Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management has issued a list of 370 Patwaris who are allegedly involved in corruption and are tarnishing the image of the government.

Castes of these Patwaris has also been mentioned alongside their names in the list. ACS has asked the DCs to take action against them.Taking action is OK, however, mentioning caste of these employees has raised eyebrows as it is against rules. A corrupt employee has no caste, he is corrupt irrespective of his caste/religion.

And what is stopping the FCR to throw these Patwaris out of service if it has been established (as per the list) that they are corrupt?Tailpiece. It is quite shocking and surprising. If the Department is so sure that these Patwaris are absolutely corrupt, why it doesn’t throw them out of service.
In FCI, there used to be an ‘agreed list’ of employees who were considered ‘corrupt’ and every month there used to be a meeting with the SP, CBI to review it. It was desired to keep an eye on it. However, mentioning castes of Patwaris in the list is ridiculous, it should not be there.
